Canadian illustrator Jon Klassen wins $750,000 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award

Awards in all fields are important.  All people are in some part driven by recognition. But people also need to earn a living. Recent data shows that the median artist’s income is $30,200. There is something wrong with this picture and we’re doing something about it.
